Seeing The Star

The Magi, seeking
actively waiting
the star, knowing its meaning
unlike the people
Israel asleep, unaware
liken the maidens,
their oil run out

Journeying, going
to see the prophecy fulfilled
Ancient people,
wake from your slumber
See the star, an epiphany
Christ, the Messiah

Come once again
into our midst
join the Magi
on our knees
offering him our gifts
