What would they say of his calling

In our times, in our houses of faith
what would they say of his calling
if Jesus had come into our presence
and read from the holy word

He wasn’t ordained,
a priest by profession
claiming the words of Isaiah
in his own synagogue

Reading the scripture
claiming its fulfillment
what would we say
if Christ came into our midst
