Something Important to Say

No matter the words
how much we immediately understand
listen to what Christ offers
he has something important to say

Listen to him, God’s voice from the clouds
speaking instruction to the disciples
to really listen to Christ
follow his words here below

The parables, the lessons, all he has to say
something important for you and me
the God incarnate, walking as a man
teaching us all how to live

Glowing, transformed, on the mountaintop
the carpenter’s son, the king
shining with the love of God
all he said and did showing us
the true nature of God
