No matter the costs
the price we may pay
torture is always wrong
this is where we must stand
Our nation
this land that we love
meant to be a beacon of hope
a refuge for those in need
Where can we stand
when the whirlwind comes
when this law is gone,
wiped out from our creed
Where can we hide
when the storm clouds come
when chaos, rage,
knocks at our door
Only if we hold true
if something remains inviolate
that this country abhors this violence
torture is never our choice
