Through the Door of the Cross

His way, the path he chose
his blood on the lintels
passing through
bloodied but unbowed
walking, humble
to the will of God

Through the door of the cross
from the cross, to the tomb
to new life, eternal
evermore
enthroned on high
until he come again
in victory
