before Adam, his fall
before anything else
Christ formed as God’s partner
the agent of creation
the first-born of all life
the Word alive
joined with God
starting the universe
all that ever was
all that there is
all that will be
There with God
the Word alive
before he descended
living, alive, on high

John 1:1-14
“This Sunday, I will continue in a sermon series,
“The Birth of Jesus Christ”, and we will look more closely
at the opening poem in the Gospel of John.
Matthew and Luke tell a beautiful story about the holy birth.
John uses poetry to highlight the meaning of Jesus’ life.
“Logos and Light” are the main ideas John uses in this poetry.
The Christ of Christmas is so much more than a cute baby.
The Christ is the image of God given to guide our lives and
to show us the most important truths for living.”
