The Silence of that Morning

The silence of that morning
the couple gathered round
staying in the stable
no other place to be found

Alone and scared
far from their home
waiting for the coming
the coming of the Lord

The silence of that morning
broken by the baby’s cry
the coming of our Savior
Your Kingdom drawing nigh.
