We Gather this Day

A thought for the morning
a prayer of your people
sheep gathered together
in your house, oh God

We gather this day
in this consecrated space
on this hallowed ground
feeling your embrace

Together, a people
gathered together
baptized in Christ’s name
to continue his holy work
