Able to be Light

Though I am salt
humble, of clay
able to be light
to shine always

Christ’s grace alone
raising me from the pit
up onto the lampstand
a city on the hill

Sharing my witness
the love of God
turning my life around
up from ground

Soaring on wings
imbued by God’s love
feeling him with me
the weight of the dove
