With his sling in his hand

David’s witness
more than the stones
with his sling in his hands
entering into battle

Casting off the armor
trusting in God’s providing
authentic to his calling
trusting in God’s protection

His gifts enough
standing before the giant
letting the stone fly
saving his whole nation
