Did he see my face

My Savior on the cross
becoming the sacrifice
Did he see my face
as he uttered those words of grace?

“Forgive him, Father,
for he knows not what he does”,
straying from your holiness
the way of our sovereign Lord

Did he see my face
when my sin transferred
the stain of my shame
was placed upon the lamb?

Father, into your hands I commit my spirit
