Mary was the one

Mary was the one
who remained faithful
with Christ at the cross
when the world
was wrapped in darkness

Mary was the one
who stayed in the garden
there when Christ appeared
risen and immortal

She was gifted
this living daughter of Even
blessed by his mercy
forgiving her on her knees
