Painting the House of Prayer

By his blood
the outpouring of love
his body
broken for us

Painting a house of prayer
on the lintels
of our hearts

Christ within us
protecting us
by his blood
his sacrifice
up on the cross

Guarding us
safe from God’s wrath
interceding for us
in a living house of prayer
seated in
the courts of the Lord
