Why He Worked So Hard

Sometimes, in the scripture
I hear the Prodigal
the rest of the story
written by Paul
His need, his desire
to serve with all his heart
the passionate zealot
reversing his course
Maybe aware
of the pain he caused God
in persecuting the Savior
by hurting the flock
So much he suffered
but I wonder about his heart
why he worked so hard
because he hurt God
