Hope for Us

A faith rising
from the calling of scripture
from the voice of God speaking
to Peter, to Paul
Each called to ministry
to seek salvation
to bring Christ’s message
to the Gentiles, to us
Hope for us
those grafted into the vine
the family of God
the flock of the Christ
all of us added
by the calling of Peter’s vision
by the words of the Messiah
spoken on the Damascus road
