Opened the Scripture

The living risen Christ
walking with them
unknown to them
yet teaching all of us

He opened the scripture
the words of his life
foretold, fulfilled
that we may live

That we may come to know
a piece of grace
a bit of God
poured out on us

Fulfilled in Christ
in the coming of the son
walking with us
on this dusty road
