Alone - 3

I all of history
from the beginning of time
could there have been another moment
feeling so alone
up on the cross
the weight of our sin
the shame, the ridicule
dying, abandoned
in the darkness of that hour
alone on the cross
preparing for us a way
yet alone, so alone
the unblemished lamb
the Son, the sacrifice
forsaken by God
