Mercy

Merciful, obedient, humble
the simple man of God
chosen to be the father
the mortal father of Christ
At first acting in mercy
when he thought he was wronged
then obediently accepting Mary
not casting her away
Humble in his living
a simple carpenter
nothing of his words written
by his actions displaying
the righteousness of God
