The Good News

The Good News, the gospel
the profession of God’s love
the healing of his coming
Christ descending from above
This is our story
the story which we share
the gospel of Jesus
our hope for in there
In his coming
God’s kingdom drawing nigh
how he came to save us
that we would no more may die
Standing in our place
before the judgment seat
taking the cup for us
climbing the tree
Rising in victory
death no more sting
rising to glory
to heaven we sing
