Not in My Time but in Yours

Fulfilling in our lives
the call, the fruits, the season
not in my time but in yours
how I wish this was my prayer

Longing to follow
to go forth in mission
to leave the world behind
my nets by the shore

Yet struggling with the world
the hold it has upon me
the tasks, the ledger sheet
the failings to be faithful

Knowing more and more
each day, each step, a journey
wanting to turn to him
to sow my seeds more freely
