in the bedrock of my beliefs
what I am most certain of
that you know me implicitly
your reassuring presence
in my struggles, my travails
my doubts, most of my own making
you oh God are here with me
as I walk on this earth
here with me as I struggle
seeking to walk in your path
here as I seek to follow
you all the days of my life
