Crown of Thorns

Seeking to diminish Christ
yet failing to recognize
the power of the cross
the submission to the Master’s plan
God’s will for his life
faithful to the servant’s path
to his place in the world

The crown of thorns a symbol
but not what they thought
seeking to mock the Christ
yet they missed his role
humble, the lamb
showing how to love
our God and our fellow man
