The Law fulfilled through the cross

The gate of our salvation
God on the mercy seat
through our commitment to Him
through the path through the cross
the way of the Christ-child
mortal, yet divine
showing us how to love
how to follow God’s light
to walk in the way of the Lord
to answer his call
to journey the path of Christ
to carry our own cross

The Law fulfilled through the cross
through the empty tomb of Jesus
by submission to God’s holy plan
by choosing to empty ourselves
our free will given over
to our God, our Father
to serve our brothers, our sisters,
our neighbors, the strangers
all whom we meet
sharing the example, the message
Christ on the mercy seat
