Despair in My Waiting

Sometimes the winds find me
catching me off guard
the chaos consuming my plans
seeking to pull me down

Despair in my waiting
for discernment of God
knowing He will answer
yet caught by the winds, the world

Sometimes the winds find me
in the dark, in that night
seeking to ensnare me
to pull me from the night

Despair in my waiting
pulled by the world
feeling I am lost, and yet
seeking to follow your Word.
