Feared and Worshiped

Though he has reason
to judge each of us
for we have all sinned
short of the law of God

Though he could judge us
his nature is love
we fall in worship
in awe of our God

More wonder than fear
the grace poured upon us
calling us to you
your presence, oh God

Though we have failed him
straying from his path
You freely forgive us
to walk in your light

Grace more than judgment
no record of sin
forgiven, redeemed
we worship our King.

Psalm 130:3-4 (New International Version)
3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
Lord, who could stand?
4 But with you there is forgiveness;
therefore you are feared.
Psalm 130:3-4 (The Message)
3-4 If you, God, kept records on wrongdoings,
who would stand a chance?
As it turns out, forgiveness is your habit,
and that's why you're worshiped.
