Forgiveness releases

the weight lifted
forgiveness releases
able to stand, to bend
moving with the wind
freed of our burden
chains of our anger
shackles that we carried
trimming our sails, our wings
released by forgiving
moving from the past
striding forth in freedom
accepting the grace to breathe
