a tear in the fabric – v3

a cord cut, severed, ripped
a deep bond broken
a family in turmoil
a fissure, a wound
a tear in the fabric
strands unraveling

the threads, the circle
a cut, unchecked bleeding
One within, now an Other
the whole circle shaken
by the breach of the former

more than time needed
an open wound remaining
for healing, reconciliation
for restoring, in love
for the whole clan affected

a new language, time
perhaps a third story
hope in coming together
to find a new meaning
the lost acknowledged
a hope for a new way forward
