After Giving, More

Only two small fish
a child’s five barley loafs
all that he had been giving
giving to the Lord

Christ, before them
bewildered disciples
accepting this gift
raising it to heaven,
broken for all of us

After giving, more
a blessing without limit
more of the food
after all had been fed
