walking the beach, praying

in love with the morning
with the kiss of the creator
brushing my cheek
the tiny bits of sand
too many to number
walking the beach, praying
in the dawning of the morning
the low-tide yet receding
the place in between growing
walking slowly, sometimes with eyes closed
wrapped in God’s loving arms
at peace in lifting up
my prayers for the people
