Christ is saying
in the words of this teaching
not to be complacent
to stay where we are
more work to do
other fields fertile
needing to be given
to be offered God’s love
sowing seeds freely
richly, scattered
but not just in one place
going to another location
other fields to work
mission, the parish,
sowing seeds freely
to the ends of the earth
