God has his eye on me
sometimes I wish he didn’t
each time I falter
each time I go astray
shame in the mirror
the pain I cause others
my selfishness, my anger
when I curse his name;
but I pray for his
forgiveness
to redeem me from death
by the blood of my Savior
not by my own doing
mired here in the dust
God has his eye on me
in that I take great comfort
knowing I don’t go it alone
I hear the Spirit inside me
I wish I was worthy
that my worship and my life
were more reflective of the
joy
I feel deep inside
