Too long silent

too slow to act

sitting on the sidelines

our family hurting

but now is a time for justice

to say no to power

standing with our sister

a line drawn in the sand

dropping our own stones of judgment

laying them down

knowing we aren’t worthy

seeking reconciliation

not making her the lamb
