Worthless Grain – v2

Barns, full, bursting
the harvest not shared
gathered to the edges
the rich man’s treasure
Stored for a lifetime
no cares, yet not enough,
wanting more, bigger barns
more stocked up, gathered in

All of it worthless, the grain
his possessions, all he had stored
worthless before God,
come for an accounting of his life
Where was his heart, his charity
the treasures that he kept
stored up grain, for himself
useless on that judgment day
