A painting of creation
in oranges and yellows
the true colors, exposed
before the face of God
The green dying
the patina washed away
losing summer
but life in the dying
in oranges and yellows
colors of that palette
Peeling off summer
a dance before the winter
revealed in vivid colors
the living in this season
