this was important
his hand upon the cup
his hand upon the wheel
charting his own course
a bit of gossamer, of
whimsy
reclining his bed
seeking strength
a longing for nourishment
to regain control
the angle of the straw
to achieve his purpose
a quick intake of liquid
to regain his freedom
his hand on the wheel
