I hear the horrible reports
the awful video footage
the innocents cut down
killing his own people
I pray you are given wisdom
wisdom to hear God’s voice
to do the right thing
in this time and place
As you do to the least of these
so you do to the Christ;
may we act as he would
consistent in our words
In our actions, loving,
heralds of paradise
worthy of the name we claim
compassionate like Christ
