The prayers deep within us
musings of our hearts only
sometimes with no words
an ache tearing us apart
Unintelligible prayers
to others if they heard them
yet words of love, of
petition
raised, lifted up to heaven
To the listening ear
to the heart of God
one heart spoken to another
in God is our reward.
