And God Created. . .
What do galaxies, human beings,
snapdragons, catfish, dragonflies and daisies have in common? Give the children a chance to guess. . . They were all created by God. . . they didn’t
just come into being. . . they were all made special by God. . . each and every
one is different. . . just like people. We were all created different. You may
not have the same things as someone else but that doesn’t make you unusable by
God or even unneeded. God created you special just like He did creation. You
are all special and God has a great plan for you. Just like the sun and moon
are different they are very important and have a purpose.
But I have a question for you. . . have
you ever took a real close look at something like. . . maybe a flower. . . Give
the children the pictures of flowers. . . have you ever seen how intricate
and painstakingly they are made? Or even looked at nature. . . Give the children the nature pictures. . . The God of the whole universe took all that
time to make the flowers and nature so beautiful and you know what? He took
that same type of time when He made you and me. God even did something special
with humans. . . God made them in His own image. . . how awesome is that?
Now. . . I want you to keep those
pictures I gave you this morning in a special place and on those times when you
feel bad or that you aren’t special at all. I want you to pull out those
pictures and look at them. God made flowers and nature special and so are you.
. . remember that you are made in God’s image and when He created you. . . He
thought to Himself. . . what he created was not just good. . . but it was. . . and
is. . . very good. . .
