weakening the cross

we stand in the way

a stumbling block them

in our times of division

weakening the cross

to save them, the others,

those who have not heard

who have not heard the message

the truth of Christ

of God’s sacrifice

when we divide

when we become factions

not the one body

of God, of Christ

the kingdom splintered

consuming itself
