Christ’s sacrifice is so important

because we are so broken

separated from our God

by our sin, ourselves

Christ’s gift, his witness

his choice to climb the cross

to save us completely

to save us from ourselves

Nothing we can do

nothing we can say

we are so far from God

mired in our clay

Christ’s gift, his witness

offering love, showing God

teaching us how to walk

reconciling us to God
