I was dead

in the pit of my sin

my rebellion complete

I was dead, lost in the world,

my excess extreme

you found me there

in the pit, my despair

you raised me up

tears on my face

you gave me a gift

of the Son, now with me

I am a sheep

giving my life over

yet holding the reins

wanting to be with you

but fighting the yoke

I am I alive

walking this path
