from our clay jars
vessels for a purpose
to anoint the Christ
clay jars shattered
broken, emptied
the nard of our blood
offered, given to God
do we fall before him
is our blood the perfume
do we wash his feet
do we give all to God
is our blood poured
our vessels shattered
are we poured, extravagant
an offering fragrant
are we the perfume
our lives the oil,
the fragrance, the offering
