Breathing freedom
power within them
A holy wind, a fire,
a prayer for them
that they would fall down
Flames from heaven
filling the disciples
with God's Holy Spirit
the breath of life
Living flames, falling,
flames of freedom
piercing their bodies
their lives, their spirits
steeled
by the breath of God
A holy wind, a fire,
breathing freedom
a prayer for them
imparting power, authority
on the timid followers
able, in an instant,
by the flames of freedom
to speak, to lead, to
inspire
to share the life of Christ
His gift of grace
for the whole world
the flames of Pentecost
the breath of freedom
washing over all of us
