Fifteen to the bathroom

a trickle became a river

the feet in the aisle

9:30pm in Medway

the bus suddenly emptying

an impromptu bathroom break

six became fifteen

soon more like twenty

twenty minutes from home

but the lemmings couldn’t hold it

heading for the sea

one more time together

the bus emptying

because the children had to pee
