remember well
your
words of warning
spoken
in silence
on
a written page only;
I
understand well
your
reluctance to expose
to
rip open the scar tissue
to
let the chips fall where they may
speaking
truth to power
I
saw again your words this morning
an
ache inside me,
an
injustice uncorrected
as
if time was enough
wanting
to speak out;
but
I saw your words
sharing
deep wisdom -
Love
all the people you meet;
leave
them to God
