The clouds have kidnapped the morning – v5

an earnest game, something more

holding the sun for ransom

to repay an ancient debt

an unspoken recording

in the ledger of heaven,

the story of life

players on stage, out of the background,

clouds have kidnapped the morning

the sun not visible at all

the sky coming nearer

descending from the heavens

clouds pulled toward the ground
