the lintels, the mantel
the door frame, the blessing
the blood of Passover
to bless those inside
the yoke, the stole
the mantle of the prophet
the bar of the cross
that held the lamb
the blood of our Savior
his prayer for a double portion
the cascade of imagery
of the cloth, the wood
the blood anointing
the mantle falling
our commission like his
to take up our cross
to go and do the work.
