bound to the earth

chained with no imagination

no depth, no hope, no sense of the eternal

a now that is so shallow

a here that is represented by our physical presence

bound by our bodies, this life

with nowhere to turn, nothing to hold onto

how can we believe, what do we see

if we have nothing but the physical stuff

only what we can touch.
