wresting with God, with myself – v2

the story so familiar

the aches the same

wrestling, in the night

with God, with myself

in my mind, in my actions

wrestling for control

to be the one in power

not letting go, release,

hanging on for dear life

my hip to remind me

of my struggles that night.
