A Hope for Their Turning

we pray for the addicted
those broken inside
we pray for those like us
captured by their demons
unable to let go to break free
of that long night
touch them Spirit
make them whole
heal them of this illness
that controls their souls.

we hope for their turning
away from the world
that they would heed Your call
in your holy word
we call upon Your power
on You, Almighty God,
make a miracle
change their hearts
reach down from heaven
heal their brokenness.

we pray they would be open
that their hearts would be softened
show them Your way Jesus
Your hands, Your sacrifice
show them the power
of Your resurrection
You path, Your way
that leads to light
break the hold of the demons
the storms in their lives.
